2. Planner Summative
Continue working on planner summative rough draft and visual. Research any extra facts to help in your rough draft. Review instructions HERE. If you finish your rough draft, have 2 people revise/edit it (including a teacher), then type it up in Word and save it to Edmodo.
3. Exhibition Research
If you're finished with your planner summative, continue your exhibition research (use Instagrok). Remember, our goal is 6 sources and at least 8 notefacts for each source.

You will identify the top 3 innovations and top 3 conflicts of the 20th century based on their impact on human made systems.
Innovations
- Using THIS website, pick the 3 innovations that had the BIGGEST impact on human made systems.
- Prioritize these 3 innovations from least impactful to most impactful
- For each innovation:
- State why you felt this was one of the top 3 innovations
- Identify all the different systems it impacted
- Analyze how it impacted these systems
- Draw a picture of this innovation
Conflicts
- Using your timeline, BrainPop, textbooks, or other online resources, pick the 3 conflicts that had the BIGGEST impact on human made systems.
- Prioritize these 3 conflicts from least impactful to most impactful.
- For each conflict:
- State why you felt this was one of the top 3 conflicts
- Identify all the different systems it impacted
- Analyze how it impacted these systems
- Draw a picture of this innovation
A few extra resources:
- Log into CINCH using the usernames and passwords Mr. Gibson provides you.
- 'Light & Matter' should show up when you log in. If not, just search 'Light & Matter' in the bottom right and click on the 5th Grade lesson.
- Learn about Light & Matter with the videos and reading.
- Answer all the Quick Check and Lesson Review Questions on the computer. You do not have to create the foldable if you don't want to. Submit your answers when you're completed.

Your learning goal is to explore the different uses of energy and understand & explain the different forms of energy.
- Go to CINCH and sign in (username: iduma1 password: mavericks)
- Search 'Forms of Energy'
- Click on the 5th Grade Lesson called 'Energy A.' It looks like this:
- You can watch the videos (see the squares that say Brain Pop) and then click on the big square that says Energy A
- Create this foldable to fill in as you read
- Read the informational text on energy, filling in the foldable.
- On a separate sheet of paper, answer all the Quick Check questions as well as the Lesson Review questions at the end of the reading.

Make the following foldable:
- Click on the CINCH link in the symbaloo on the homepage.
- Sign in using the following: USER: iduma1 PW: mavericks
- Use the search bar on the bottom right and type in 'traits'
- In the results, scroll down and click on 'Grade 5- Traits'
- Click on the main image that says 'Traits' that comes up (you can also watch some videos that come up)
- Read through the traits page.
- Fill out your foldable using the instructions given on the website
- Use the back side of your foldable to answer all the questions that show up on the bottom of the website.
